Best Chocolate & Coffee in Tallinn – The Pierre Chocolaterie Café
Chocolaterie de Pierre Introduction
Choco, the first Chocolaterie de Pierre café, opened in Tallinn’s Old Town in 2003. Hidden in the master craftsmen’s courtyard on Vene Street, the cozy café is easy to find if you follow the delicious scent of coffee and chocolate and listen out for the gently playing music.
A bit pricier than your average local cafe, Pierre makes you feel like you’re in 1920s Paris. In summer it’s one of the most amazing places to sit and watch the world go by, or take a break from a walk in the Old Town during a cold winter’s day.
*Chocolaterie de Pierre café is the best place for tasting the chocolate masterpiece while indulging in the atmospheric Masters’ Courtyard.
The House Cake – Majatort
As a first timer in this cafe, we went for the house cake as recommended by the waitress – Majatort “Marc De Champagne” 5€ which have a colorful and different layer of flavors.
Overall the cake was delicious with a distinct flavor of caramel and chocolate combinations, very glad we did order this scrumptious masterpiece, truly chocolate haven! 😉
*Other than house specialty, Chocolaterie de Pierre café also serves other popular cake such as; Dark Chocolate Cake and Gluten Free Chocolate Cake.
Rum Raisin Chocolate Parfait
It’s a shame but we had to admit that our sweet tooth still craving for something else, and thus, delectable parfait to the rescue – “Rummirosinate Ja Tsilliga” 5€ with rum raisins and chili.
This yummy looking parfait never disappointed us by giving us an irresistible bitter-sweet (chocolate ice cream & rum raisins) aftertaste, definitely a great choice under hot sunny days! 😉
*Chocolaterie de Pierre café also serves other flavourful parfaits such as; Stracciatella, Dame Blanche, Vana Tallinn, and Arlequin, if you are curious enough.
Refreshing Green Jasmine Tea
We ended our Chocolaterie de Pierre café’s experience with a pot of “Green Jasmine Tea” 5€ (sorry we are not a coffee addict) so that we can sit back and relax for a little while.
The tea was refreshing and packed with robust flavors, at least it is good enough for us to recharge and move on to our next journey! 😉
*Highly recommend trying out their coffee and hot chocolate drink (if it is your favorite) that deems to be their signature beverage.
*Kindly note that menu availability and price might vary from time to time
