Da Long Nightmarket (大龙夜市) – Yuan Shan Street Food Haven
If you happened to visit Dalongdong Bao’an Temple (大龍峒保安宮), Taipei Confucius Temple (台北市孔廟) and Taipei Expo Park (花博公園) in Yuan Shan Station (圆山) then you should also consider taking a “street food tour” into Da Long Nightmarket (大龙夜市).
Located in Dalong St (大龍街), Da Long Nightmarket (大龙夜市) usually starts around 6 pm until late midnight. Food hawker will start to set up their stall along the roadside which makes the street especially lively during the evening.
There is a good variety of local snacks which you can expect from the Da Long Nightmarket (大龙夜市) and below is a list of few “delicious” stall which is worth a try:
1) Ice Cream Puff & Milk Bar
Crusty fresh puff being made prior order serves (as stuffing) with a series of ice cream to choose from; milk, chocolate, coffee, strawberry, blueberry, lemon, cheese, strawberry and yam.
2) Assorted Sushi
An eye-catching assorted sushi from nigiri, sushi roll and gunkan as low as NT$15 per piece, very affordable and fast selling!
3) Barbeque Mutton
Char-grilled barbeque mutton skewer is served with satay sauce which gives a great nutty flavour and some spicy kick, mutton meat (in use) are actually superb AAA grade (balanced amount of meat and fats), never gets bored and very enjoyable!

Generally, this stall offers everything from vegetables, fried tofu, pork skin, pork innards, instant noodles and many more. Soak then cook with the homemade braised sauce (卤汁), lastly served with a good amount of chilli sauce!
5) Pork Sausage & Oyster Omelette
Pork sausage & oyster omelette is the most common thing to have in any Taiwan night market simply due to its deliciousness. We happened to vote this stall due to the fragrant smell which leads us there! 😉
After having all those yummy street food then how about some “vitamin” treats? There are also a few fruit stall in Da Long Nightmarket (大龙夜市) that sells local Taiwanese fruit definitely worth to explore!
Some of the shop owners can even do the extra miles for you (peel and cut fruits), provided if you are desperate enough to ask, of course! 😉
