Tanzini Complimentary Bread
Our meal in Tanzini starts with a complimentary loaf of homemade bread served with tomato puree. Bread is fresh and the soft consistency of it is very addictive, tastes extremely refreshing and opens our palate while dipping into the sweet and sour tomato puree sauce.
Feel addicted to the bread and want to have more? You can request for another loaf of bread and maybe even more (unless you have the guts to ask for it!) 😉
Scallop Mushroom with Puree
Pan Seared Scallop RM34.00 served as the best starter (entree) dish in Tanzini featuring – Scallops with Shimeji, Shiitake, Cup Mushroom and Green Bean Puree.
Scallops are well seasoned and seared which giving a perfect brownish layer (already delicious while eating it alone), tastes even more flavourful with the various combination of fungus and smooth green bean puree.
Personally will recommend this dish for those who interested in having fresh scallops with unique AAA flavours.
Soup in Brioche
Exquisite Tanzini meal course continues with an appetizing soup dish “Soup in Brioche” RM28.00 namely, Cream of Broccoli & Carrots in a homebaked Brioche (bread).
This rich warm soup tastes extremely smooth, creamy and buttery with a hint of vegetable in each spoonful. It feels like having a dollop of delicious cauliflower mac and cheese but in soup form.
If you are having too much complimentary bread from earlier then you might regret by now. This soup tends to be most satisfying when dipped with the leftover Brioche. But the fun part only begins after you finish the soup and starts to pick on the bread.
The King Barramundi
We ordered The King Barramundi RM55.00 as our main course – Pan Seared Barramundi (fish) with Pumpkin Puree & Ratatouille.
The fillet is well seared with a layer of thin crisp skin, serves with two different sides giving an invigorating sweetness of pumpkin puree and sweet & sour mixed vegetable slaw (depends on which type of sauces you are mixing with).
There is also a small hint of irresistible ginger flavour throughout the fish slices (thanks to the dried fried ginger garnish) which adds an Asian touch towards the dish. Honestly speaking, it tastes like fried fish with a’la sauces with nothing much to shout about it.
Roasted Duck Breast
Next upcoming main course is the Signature Roasted Duck Breast RM52.00 – Roasted duck breast comes with Beetroot Puree, Sauteed Snow Peas & Orange Sauce.
The portion is very generous (whole breast meat) to begin with, never realise that Beetroot can actually form such a nice feat with duck meat while successfully purging all the gamy taste. Orange sauce tastes nothing near around the menu description but instead felt like having a bunch of duck fat inside a bowl.
Overall tastes like Chinese roasted duck (but chilled version), making it nearly impossible to savour without going thru some “Chew Chew” session. This dish is not gonna surprise you that much if you already tasted the best-roasted duck breast before.
How could a fine dining be complete without a dulcet of sweet dessert? Among many choices of chef recommendations, we took “Chocolate Lava” RM22.00 as the final course of the meal.
Unlike any chocolate lava out there, Tanzini’s version is wrapped in a smooth chocolate pudding-like cake which will immediately gush out a sweet hearty amount of chocolate lava just by a gentle scoop.
Believe it or not, this masterful piece (chocolate cake) continues to amaze us without leaving any chocolate trace on the plate after scooping the whole thing up (too smooth consistency and have a right amount of moist on the cake).
Chocolate lava tastes toothsome just by having it alone or you may mix it with the homemade vanilla ice cream (serves with almond bits) for a different taste and consistency. Highly recommend this dessert with a two thumbs up! 😉
Family Event & Function Room
Tanzini also offers a spacious place for diners to host any gathering events who prefers extra privacy.
The restaurant also owns a wine cellar situated inside the restaurant for diners who craves for best wines to quench their palate during the dining experience.
Personally thinks Tanzini is a great restaurant to celebrate special occasions which flows with romantic ambience, food-wise deem to be solid yet nothing much to shout about (in contrary to the price we are paying).
