Full Course Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah – Warisan Cafe
Ever been wondering what is the most popular lunch menu for the white collar around KL area? Warisan Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah has been voted as one of the must go list during lunch hour period.
Signature Nasi Ayam Kukus Berempah
As stated on the business sign, Nasi Ayam Kukus Berempah (White Rice) RM16.50 is the Signature Set Meal serves with a whole chicken drumstick, choice of steamed rice, 3 special gravies, sambal belacan, boiled egg and raw pickled jelatah (acar).
There are lots of people ordering this dish mainly because of the fried drumstick which is marinated with 14 different kinds of spices and herbs, tastes succulent and extra flavourful just by eating it alone.
You may choose different rice to complete your set from Nasi Kukus Telang, Nasi Kukus Lemak, Nasi Kukus Pandan, Nasi Kukus Putih and Nasi Kukus Perang. The total set price may vary if you pick and upgrade the steam rice from the list.
Spicy Nasi Kukus Rendang Daging
Nasi Kukus Rendang Daging (Nasi Telang) RM22.50 crowned as the second best seller in the restaurant, featuring beef rendang, choices of steamed rice, 3 special gravies, sambal belacan, boiled egg and raw pickled jelatah (acar).
Australian imported beef is being used as the main ingredient for rendang daging dish (also the main reason for being the most expensive set from the menu) to ensure the meat texture is juicy and tender enough.
Unfortunately, the beef rendang we had that day is very dry which costs us a lot of energy to bite through the meat cube, not to mention those nasty meat flosses keep stuck in between the teeth gap after the meal. Apart from the rendang daging, the taste and appearance kinda resemble a plate of mixed mamak curry rice at its finest. 😉
Special Spaghetti Kuah Ketam
Mee Kuah Ketam RM14.00 has been driving a lot of our attention ever since the first-time visit to Warisan hence we decided to order out of the curiosity.
This Spaghetti Kuah Ketam is said to be cooked with the finest crab broth, shredded chicken, beancurd, and crab meat floss which is supposed to give us a huge impact with its flavors.
The appearance adores us at first followed by a huge disappointment slams us immediately after a few spoonful tries. Frankly speaking, we couldn’t relate anything in this bowl with crab and the noodle gravy just tastes very “Weird”. If given another chance, would rather choose to have a bowl of Mee Jawa or Mee Ladna over this Mee Kuah Ketam.
Warisan Cafe used to serve The Best Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah but now not anymore due to the inconsistency in the food taste. Personally would favor Madam Kwan or roadside Cap ABC Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah Stall for now.
