Yummy Drunkard Prawn
Our meal in Lu Sang Canteen (呂桑食堂) starts with a cold dish platter named Fresh Drunkard Prawn (花雕醉虾) NT$180
Not only it has a strong scent of Shao Xing Wine (绍兴酒), the prawns also covered with a bittersweet flavour of the wine taste!
Some even suggest that the best part of having these delicacies is to suck out all those goodies from the prawns head, well to believe it or not, it’s totally up to you. 😉
*Lu Sang also offer the steam chicken drumstick variation for those who suffer an allergy to any seafood.
Garlicky Fresh Oyster
Lu Sang Garlic Oyster (蒜味鲜蚵) NT$140 very tempting and is a must order despite how much we love to eat oysters!
The oysters are extremely soft and creamy, taste heavenly while pairing with a mild spicy kick from the minced garlic sauce.
Now that you are having it in Lu Sang Canteen, you can finally enjoy these oysters in “Gluttony Mode “, despite the generous portion given on each plate.
Signature Marinated Fish
Marinated Saba Fish (腌制青花鱼) NT$140 is a fusion dish adapted from Japan which uses the Konbu wrap method to preserve and enhance food quality.
The matured saba fish tastes flavourful while has an irresistible mushy and flaky texture, would be pleased to enjoy it with a bowl of plain rice or a cup of alcohol (as a snack treat).
We took a graceful ten minutes just to enjoy and nibble these precious fish pieces during the meal! 😉
Oishi Grill Aubergine
If you love to eat aubergine like we do, then be sure not to miss the signature Miso Grilled Aubergine (味增烤茄) in Lu Sang Canteen.
Miso Grilled Aubergine is grilled to perfection (soft and juicy meat intact) with a strong hint of miso on each bite.
This dish is definitely a perfect alternative if you are not into other vegetable dishes.
*Lu Sang Canteen also offers a free flow of Yi Lan Kumquat Tea for customers to quench thirst throughout the dining session.
Pros- Good ambience, unique dishes, reasonable price, friendly customer service, free tea refill.
Cons- Long waiting list during peak hours.
