*Must Try* Most Delicious and Worthy Korean BBQ Buffet @ Won Korean Dining
Won Korean Dining serves the most delicious (freshly prepared ingredient and banchan) and worthy (reasonable price with no cheap cuts) Korean BBQ buffet which is on our top visit list whenever we drop by One Utama for a shopping spree.
Apart from normal ala carte set meal, Won Korean Dining is made famous with its RM33.00 nett buffet which mostly requires for a queue during peak hours.
Won BBQ Buffet Banchan
Once confirm taking on the buffet course, a delectable series of banchan will be served after a few minutes later.
Below are all the delicious banchan which you can be expecting having in Won Korean Dining, the great news is all of them are refillable so feel free to eat to your heart content! 🙂
Soybean Paste Soup
Doenjang Jjigae, a fragrant sweet fermented beans soup with loads of vegetables and tofu in it, great to serve as the meal opener.
Fermented Spicy Kimchi which tends to be a bit sour but still maintains the very crunchy texture, great combination dish with grilled pork belly and personally refills a few plates of it.
Bean Sprout Salad
Kongnamul Muchim is fresh with a crunchy texture and less salty, taste very refreshing with a hint of sesame oil on it.
Marinated Pork Skin
An exquisite banchan which rarely served in any other Korean restaurant has a very sticky texture on it (collagen) and taste very flavourful especially strong porky taste.
BBQ Meat Session
Pork Refill Session
Unlike any Korean Restaurant out there, Won Korean Dining only serves two types of meat during the buffet session; Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal) and Pork Shoulder (Moksal).
The refill procedure is easy, just clean your plate and they will refill for you on the spot. You will eventually being K.O by the refill plate (always full) after a few rounds. 😉
Be extra patient during the peak hours as the refill waiters might need to serve a few more tables before your turn.
Depending on personal favourites, Pork Shoulder (Moksal) are less fatty meat than Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal) but it has the extra streaky flavour if you know how to grill it well.
Notice the side meat photo shooting? You should believe us by now after seeing this (no cheap meat cuts), we keep getting those same qualities of meat until the end of our meal! 😉
Way of Eating Korean BBQ
Now that you have a stacking loads of meat slices on your plate but how to eat in a Korean traditional method?
The answer is in the pictures above “Get a lettuce and put a few banchan, sauce, garlic, chilli then meat on top then wrap and voila!”
For foodies who are in such a gluttony state and hates vegetables, you may straight dig in after dipping with the sesame oil (recommend to add a few pieces of Kimchi for a better savoury).
With these genius methods, you might able to secure yourself a few more round of meat top-ups! 😉
Won Korean Dining is definitely one of the best places for Korean BBQ Buffet, if you want to have a healthy and balanced meal why not give it a chow?
