*Must Try Snacks* AY Chung Flour Rice Noodle (阿宗面线) – Ultimate Taiwanese Oyster Vermicelli
Similar to other hungry travellers, AY Chung Flour Rice Noodle (阿宗面线) will definitely be our first “food” stop once touching down in Taipei City.
There are many reasons to back up why the AY Chung Flour Rice Noodle (阿宗面线) would be crowned as the most priority food to have, mainly due to its strategic location at Ximending (西門町) and it’s irresistible deliciousness taste of course! 😉
*Most tourist prefers to eat right outside of the shops for convenience which sometimes confuse other tourists that the shop was having a very long queue!
Priced at NT$60 (big) and NT$45 (small) these hearty little bowls are consists of thin silky rice vermicelli, seafood broth, fresh oysters and loads of parsley.
From our point of view, we think that AY Chung Flour Rice Noodle is made famous due to its perfect trio combination of broth base (thick and flavourful), sauce (spicy yet appetizing) and flour rice noodle (smooth and chewable)!
* It feels like having a mild version of Szechuan sweet and sour soup with some extra ingredients on it, hot and spicy yet very very yummy.
The small hidden treasures (fresh oysters) within the AY Chung Flour Rice Noodle is a real game changer for the whole slurping session.
Soft and creamy oysters are served as the main ingredient in this bowl are definitely ideal to go with each spoonful of flour rice noodle in order to achieve the perfect score! 😉
*Highly recommend serving with a good amount of chilli sauce and vinegar for better tasting.
