A Flavoursome & Mass Ingredient Prawn Mee @ Choon Prawn Mee House
Prawn Mee was one of the classic dishes in Malaysia. If you happen to be a big-time prawn lover be sure not to miss the opportunity to try it out. Flavourful prawn broth will definitely make you fell in love with after one sip.
Choon Prawn Mee House was one of the legends stationed around Petaling Jaya area, the prawn noodle business first started as a hawker stall at first then slowly grow and expand until into a shop over the years due to the popularity of their signature Prawn Mee.
Delectable Spicy Prawn Mee
Choon Prawn Mee offers a varied selection of ingredients for upgrading the basic prawn mee. Prawn Noodle and Vermicelli Mix with an addition of prawn and pork rib RM13.00 is the most popular choice for this dish. A gentle dip of the Homemade Sambal Sauce will greatly enhance the overall taste of the prawn mee.
Local “Chinese Style” Nasi Lemak
Nasi Lemak Special RM10.00 is the speciality in the restaurant other than prawn mee. The Nasi Lemak serves with – Rendang Chicken, Fried Anchovies, Roasted Peanut, Boiled Egg, Sambal Sauce and Cucumber as garnishment.
The Nasi Lemak tastes bland without any fragrant of Santan, Rendang Sauce does not well blend with a masses of lemongrasses husks easily stuck to the teeth and soggy overcooked chicken which are not palatable. Would recommend having nasi lemak elsewhere but not in this restaurant.
Choon’s Sweet Dessert
Bean Curd Barley with Egg RM4.00 is the best dessert option to end the meal. Everything tastes decent except there is an unappetizing thin layer of oil floating on the surface of dessert.
Choon Prawn Mee also offers various types of local drink on the menu.
