Nuoc Da Me literally “tamarind ice cubes” in Vietnamese, is a fairly common drink in Vietnam. The drink tastes sweet and tart at the same time but still refreshing. Recommend to add any nuts and seeds for better tasting.

Tamarind Preparation (I)

Add Ingredient A into a pan and stir well over medium-high heat. Switch to low heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.

(May adjust the quantity of sugar depends on the sourness you like.)

Store tamarind pastes into a jar and set aside for later use.

Fill Ingredient C into a glass then add 1 or 2 spoons of tamarind paste. Stir well and ready to serve.
