Taipei Expo Park (花博公園) – Taiwan Multipurpose Large Garden
Previously the home of the Taipei International Flora Exposition, Taipei Expo Park (花博公園) is a large, multipurpose park situated just north of the Taipei city centre and home to various different attractions such as Taipei Fine Arts Museum and Taipei Story House.
*Taipei Expo Park is very lively and packed during the weekends due to various ongoing events and family activities.
The Taipei Expo Park (花博公園) also houses many interesting themes in each section for visitors to explore, so be sure to take a different route during your back and fourth trip! 😉
Maji Square Specialty Market
The south-east corner of the complex is an international hawker centre with restaurants anchored around The MAJI (集食行樂) speciality market.
With a relaxing ambience, this lifestyle market includes supermarket, restaurants, food stalls, boutique, creative shop and much more which cater visitor to shopping and dine in the same area.
An International Themed Hawker Food Stall (featured the popular dish from various countries) right inside the food court which costs a relatively fair price, decent portion and tastes great.
*The best place to have an economic and simple lunch (plus western food as an extra option) during your visit to Taipei Expo Park.
Maji Food & Deli supermarket which serves pre-cooked western food and sells fresh livestock, catch of the day and kitchen utensils.
This supermarket is the place where you expect to have some fine wine and dine but it might be quite costly! 😉
Ballerina Outfit Shop (for kids and teenagers) are in business for those who are interested to put their kids on the Ballet Class!
Solo KTV room for those who are bored, shy and wanted to release tension! Trust me, no one can ever be heard anything from the outside. 😉
The “Booze” area which only in business around evening, guess it would be more crowded right after the night time kicks in.
Heard this place serves the best grills from all over the world; Argentina, Mexico, America, England and much more!
Taiwanese Indigenous Cultural Centre
Located in the North East side of Taipei Expo Park (花博公園), Taiwanese Indigenous Cultural Centre (原民风味馆) serves as a learning centre about the aborigines from the aspect of food, art and lifestyle.
*The local aborigines dance session is also being held here once every weekend (Saturday) for those are interested to witness their performance.
The Taiwanese aborigines unique handcraft item which is best to buy as a souvenir, you can even learn how to make one of these by attending to their crafting class (same venue)!
Are you feeling hungry? Then how about some taste of aborigines treats or high mountain tea on these special occasions?
Taiwanese Aborigines food mainly consists of vegetables and herbs that you can regard it as a healthy detox meal, we cant guarantee on the taste of the food but the “outcome” on next day was definitely extraordinary and unforgetful! 😉
Instead of good food and tea, the aborigines “rice wine” is also a must try on the list during your visit to the Taiwanese Indigenous Cultural Centre (原民风味馆).
The soury sweet taste from the rice wine might be very addictive once you start drinking it, but do take note on the quantity that you are having if you don’t want to be a weird drunk man on your way home! 😉
