The Art of Japanese Fusion Cuisine – FujiYama Japanese Restaurant
FujiYama Japanese Restaurant Introduction
Getting interested to discover a brand new way to enjoy sushi? Well, guess you are on the right post as FujiYama Japanese Restaurant we are visiting is famous with Japanese Fusion Sushi!
Chef Yama has 10 years of experience in making traditional sushi under the apprenticeship of Chef Michihiku Sakaguchi and he has further his fusion journey for another 18 years. He has worked with the Iron Chef before when he was in the United States and was named “The Magic Chef” for his ability to conjure up stunning dishes with delicious taste.
*The Head chef himself is also a charismatic person that will treat every guest with great hospitality by introducing his proud signature fusion sushi collection, how awesome was that? 😉
Salmon Belly Osaka Sushi
Firstly, we had the Chef Yama signature recommendation dish “Salmon Belly Osaka Sushi” RM28.80 – Salmon Rice Osaka with sushi rice in garlic and onion flavor.
The sushi platter appearance gives a very stunning impression at first glance, while the food itself is a long and huge “Wooooow” shoutout from us, just way too many stuff lingering around our mouth right after taking a whole bite and leave us speechless for a few minutes (we actually just described how good this sushi really is)! 😉
If traditional sushi is simple and awe-inspiring (fresh seafood and vinegar rice), then the fusion sushi is the symbol of grand and elegant (more intense and unique flavor from a various mixture of sauces).
*This platter portion is perfect for one adult male portion while also best shared among two persons definitely worth every penny spent.
Fuji Volcano Roll
Next up, is another FujiYama most popular fusion platter aka “Fuji Volcano Roll” (half-roll) RM15.80 – Crab stick mix & cucumber wrapped with sushi rice topped with scallop & prawn in spicy garlic sauces.
The sushi roll has a fair mushy texture, but still, tastes superb heavenly good after mix & match with a few layers of Fujiyama’s secret sauces (combinations of yuzu, teriyaki, garlic and etc).
We reckon this as the most fun and interactive dish on the table since each roll comes with different toppings (salmon or scallop), so better guess it right or else you might be missing the fair chance on savor all of them! 😉
*Other than above, the Fujiyama Fusion speciality also includes; Salmon Martini, New York Roll, Eiffel Tower, Fusion Mango Waikiki and Rock Shrimp Martini.
Affordable In House Sushi
Feel like having additional ala carte sushi? Fret not, FujiYama also covers a wide range of traditional sushi selection (price average from RM 1.00 – RM 2.00 pcs) from salmon, tuna, ika, ebiko, kani and so much more.
We personally also ordered a few sets of maki and hand roll (price average from RM 2.00 – RM 4.00 set) which is fresh, delicious, and affordable treats for all of us.
