Yangming Park Flower Clock (陽明公園花鐘) – The Yangmingshan Flower Garden
The centrepiece of Yangmingshan National Park nearby the visitor centre and main bus station, Yangming Park is one of the first stops that visitors often make while exploring Yangmingshan.
The Yangming park contains a Chinese-style garden with elegant buildings, pavilions kiosks, streams, fountains and ponds for visitors to relax and enjoy the cooler climate.
*December until April is the best months to visit the Yangmingshan Park while the landscape is adorned with cherry blossoms and this time period is known as the flower festival.
Besides scenic Flower Clock, The Guangfu Building (光復樓) is situated right on top of the park which offers another historic yet recreational spot for visitors to visit.
This sumptuously decorated, two-story Chinoiserie structure was completed in 1971 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution.
*There are tons of well decorated “Recycled Buoy” dangling in front of the building along the trees which is suitable to take nice photos.
Instead of eye-catching floral, we also especially enjoyed the natural insect’s habitat around that area like butterflies, dragonfly, beetle, spider and many more.
Two dragonflies “racing” in between the pond is a spectacular sight to view and who knows if you manage to catch one of them! 😉
